Asbestos Analysts Registry (AAR) ProgramThe Asbestos Analysts Registry (AAR) program, offered by the AIHA Registry Programs, LLC, was designed to recognize the analysts of organizations involved in fiber counting on air samples outside of established laboratory locations, primarily on the job site or in the field. All enrolled analysts must be affiliated with an AAR-Approved organization that oversees the Quality Assurance and Quality Control program that monitors the analyst. The program requires documented NIOSH 582 or equivalent training, adherence an established and documented quality system that is based on the quality control requirements set forth by OSHA in 29 CFR 1910.1001 Appendix A, the most current version of the NIOSH 7400 Method, the AAR Policy document and ongoing proficient performance in the Asbestos Analysts Testing (AAT) program by all registered analysts.
